American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry night shift position requiring a NC or compact license, 2 years of MS/Tele experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH.

Details

• Work in a hospital Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope to similar or sister units may be required
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required for all RN specialties

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years recent MS/Tele experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Advanced EKG exam must be passed for compliance
• Experience with Epic charting system is required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus
• No recent background or license hits within the past year

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Staff must wear royal blue and white scrubs
• Candidates may be required to float to other hospital or sister campus units
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start
• Return staff policy requires a break of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may extend only once unless on night shift, which allows up to two extensions
• Approved RTO is at the manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days off and only one holiday allowed
