Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night position requiring at least one year of recent cardiac experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of an acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the CVICU
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7p-7a, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Travelers may be required to float to similar units within the facility
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active South Carolina or compact RN license in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year recent cardiac nursing experience required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Must provide social security number and driver's license for consideration
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing critical care to cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity unit
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Completion of pre-start online modules is required
• No call or on-call responsibilities
• Free parking is available
• All time off (RTO) requests must be submitted up front for approval
• Travelers may be assigned emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
