Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position in a high-volume same day cardiac unit, requiring a NJ or compact RN license and strong cardiac telemetry background.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiac Same Day Unit with a focus on stepdown level cardiac care
• Primary duties include admitting, recovering, and discharging cardiac patients following cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) procedures
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:28 PM
• Patients are primarily cardiac, including post-cath lab and EP procedure cases
• Float to the Ridgewood Observation Unit may be required as needed
• High-volume, fast-paced environment with emphasis on patient throughput and safety

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Strong background in cardiac telemetry required
• Experience assisting with TEE and bedside cardioversion procedures required
• Critical care experience preferred
• Proof of full COVID vaccination series and booster required for consideration
• Must pass EKG/Medication test as applicable to specialty

Additional Information

• Responsible for admitting, recovering, and discharging cardiac patients and assisting with specialized procedures
• Modules to be completed during orientation and annually, with some being self-reported
• No holiday time off is permitted for this assignment
• Must begin lab work within two business days of acceptance
• Local candidates are permitted at a lower pay rate within a 75-mile radius
• Former permanent employees of this health system are not eligible for travel assignments
