American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment requiring EPIC experience and EKG testing.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital
• Primarily medical-surgical patient population with telemetry capabilities
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required
• May be assigned as Charge RN if needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system and telemetry monitoring equipment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during onboarding, with up to two attempts allowed
• Background check required with no open cases accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Duties include use of rapid response teams, blood product administration, peripheral line care, IV starts, heparin, insulin, PCA administration, use of nasal cannula, and adhering to isolation precautions
• Must be prepared for zero-tolerance attendance policy
• All travelers are expected to complete required modules during orientation
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis is required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be accepted
• RTO (requested time off) must be provided at the time of consideration; late requests are not accepted
