American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with TN or compact licensure, requiring current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio is 1:7
• Floating to other units as needed according to clinical experience and current policies
• Telemetry and cardiac telemetry patient population
• Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
• Omnicell medication system in use

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Certifications and licensure must be valid and not expire within 45 days of start
• Minimum of prior travel RN experience required
• Must pass EKG testing before start date
• Med/Surg and telemetry skills required
• Cannot have been permanent staff at this campus within the past 24 months
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a lower rate

Additional Information

• Provide care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including those with cardiac monitoring needs
• All travelers required to complete department-specific modules during orientation and annually
• No holiday RTO requests accommodated for Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day
• RTO cannot be within 14 days of start and may not exceed 7 days
• Travelers who are related or married cannot work on the same unit
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• Floating assignments will include appropriate orientation to new units
