American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position in an acute care setting, requiring a CA RN license and proficiency with Cerner EMR.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool within an acute care hospital
• Float to 4th floor Telemetry and 5th, 6th, and 7th floor Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Day shifts with 12-hour shift length
• Scheduled for 2 weekends per 4-week period and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Level II facility environment
• Cerner EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• Must provide two references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Must provide copy of driver’s license
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Must not have been employed (permanent, part-time, or per diem) within CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past 12 months
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique testing during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide direct care for diverse Med/Surg and telemetry patient populations
• Teamwork expected across multiple units with floating as assigned
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Holiday coverage expectations include major holidays as scheduled
• Scrubs are required
• Failure of required Relias or sterile technique testing results in ineligibility for employment for 6 months
• Travelers are required to prioritize the travel assignment and cannot hold a second job
