Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I Trauma experience and a PA or compact RN license for night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 74-bed Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center
• Patient population includes trauma, stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
• May float as needed to the 22-bed Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU), which features telemetry and negative pressure rooms
• Night shift position, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, with every 3rd weekend required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, and no time off is approved between Christmas and New Year's
• EPIC charting system used; experience preferred
• No call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience in a Level I Trauma setting
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Completion of online modules prior to start
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility

• Care may include COVID patients
• Required to provide care in both the ED and ETCU as needed
