American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a correctional facility night shift position requiring a Texas LVN license and one year of hospital-based acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a correctional facility unit
• Night shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 18:00 to 01:30
• Caseload consists of adult incarcerated individuals
• Pre-employment modules required prior to start, with average time commitment of 4-8 hours
• County security clearance and background screening required

Requirements

• Current Texas LVN/LPN license or multistate license required (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum one year of hospital-based acute care experience required
• Current CPR certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational nurse program required
• Ability to utilize computers for documentation
• Effective oral and written communication and data collection skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Pre-employment drug screening and security clearance required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation in a correctional setting
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and observe safety precautions
