American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Cerner experience and strong trauma, neuro, ortho, and vascular backgrounds.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room surgical services department of a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes trauma, neuro, ortho, vascular, and robotic surgery cases
• Shift is 4x10 hours, evenings from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• On-call required: 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule, with occasional weekday shift extensions as needed
• Weekend shifts required: 1-2 per 6-week schedule
• Floating may occur within the hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities based on census needs
• Charting is completed in Cerner; experience required
• Scrub attire is provided

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license (pending accepted if active by start date)
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Significant proficiency in neuro, ortho, vascular, and robotic procedures required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; pending certifications accepted if completed before start
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include circulating and providing specialized nursing care for complex surgical cases
• Must be willing to participate in a holiday rotation, covering at least one holiday if requesting time off during holidays
• Up to 8 hours of online modules must be completed within one week of signing, typically taking 3-8 hours
• Travelers must adhere to strict professional conduct standards to maintain contract eligibility
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
