American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with 2 years of scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, general OR, and vascular cases, and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility
• Handles complex cardiac cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve surgeries, ascending and descending aorta, and heart and lung transplants
• General OR and vascular cases are also performed
• Works 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am–6:30 pm
• Required to take 5–8 on-call shifts per month, including weekends and possible holiday call
• EPIC EMR is used for charting
• Magnet hospital environment

Requirements

• Active SC or multi-state compact RN license in hand at the start of contract
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR scrubbing and circulating experience
• Ability to perform independently on complex cardiac, general OR, and vascular procedures
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Must be able to complete facility modules prior to start
• Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum 7 days of RTO (excluding holidays) will be considered automatically; longer RTO requires approval
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel pay

Additional Information

• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Holiday call coverage may be required as needed
• Scrub color or dress code will be specified by the unit upon assignment
• First-time travelers are generally not preferred for this position
• Large support team environment typical of a teaching hospital
• Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a local pay rate
