American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and strong cardiac/telemetry skills.

Details

• Work in a lower acuity cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Day and night 12-hour rotating shifts with both weekday and weekend coverage
• Rotating holiday shifts required
• Expected patient ratio is 1:3-4
• Required to float to similar or lower acuity units within the organization as needed
• Uses Epic electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Experience using Epic EMR required
• Degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or formal leader
• Employment gap of at least 6 months required for former employees seeking travel assignments
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing care for patients with lower acuity cardiac needs
• Nurses will monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Adherence to hospital policies and procedures is required
• Mandatory fingerprinting process must be completed promptly
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Candidates who are current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are ineligible
