American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III Neonatal ICU position requiring NJ or compact licensure and every weekend shifts.

• Position is in a Level III Neonatal ICU setting
• Patient population includes micro preemies and high frequency ventilation cases
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the NICU
• Couplet care is practiced, and there is a Stork RN on each shift
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts (7:00–19:00), every weekend (Sat/Sun) plus one weekday
• No on-call required
• Floating required within five hospitals in the system based on skillset and need
• Use of Epic EMR system; Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required at time of consideration; cannot expire within 30 days of start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level III NICU experience required, with 2–3 years total preferred
• Experience with high frequency ventilation and micro preemies required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test during orientation; two attempts permitted
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required at time of consideration; no exemptions accepted
• Experience within the specialty must be within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include specialized care for high-risk neonates, monitoring of micro preemies, and use of high frequency ventilation
• Travelers expected to float within skillset, including to High Risk Obstetric Unit as needed
• Modules must be completed during orientation, and testing will be conducted as required by specialty
• Must wear navy blue scrubs and be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on unit
• Holiday and block scheduling not allowed; must submit all requested time off (RTO) at time of consideration, with 4 days or less prioritized
• No travel pairs accepted; all candidates must apply individually
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
