Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with vascular and ENT experience for a daytime position requiring MD or compact RN license and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 14-room hospital Operating Room
• Day shift position with 5x8 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Circulate and scrub on vascular, ENT, bariatrics, thoracic, general surgery, gynecology, neurology, ophthalmology, and endoscopic procedures
• Special equipment includes DaVinci Xi and Ion Robot
• Cerner EMR is used and required
• Call required: 3 weeknights and 2 weekends over a 6-week period
• Floating within related units is expected

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience working in similarly sized Operating Room settings (14 ORs)
• Demonstrated proficiency with Cerner EMR
• References: Two supervisor references from the past two years required

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable with vascular and ENT cases and preferred experience in multiple surgical specialties
• Blue scrubs are required for this assignment
• Pre-employment modules must be completed, averaging 12 hours and tracked by transcript
• Return staff must have a minimum 1-year separation from previous employment before being considered for this assignment
• Candidates living within a 60-mile radius will be considered at a local rate
• A maximum of 7 days RTO is highly preferred for a 13-week contract, and no RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• Manager interview may not be required; decisions may be made based on clinical review
