Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current NY RN license and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:7
• Care includes cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, and phlebotomy
• Must float as needed to other units
• EMR used is Epic and proficiency is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand is required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing cardiac and respiratory interventions, IV management, and adhering to isolation precautions
• Must be comfortable using rapid response/code teams
• Scrub attire must be navy and white or any combination of these colors
• Pre-start online module training is required
• Candidates must not have been employed at the facility within the last year
• Floating to similar units may be necessary
