American Traveler is hiring an experienced Psych RN for a Behavioral Health unit, requiring current BCLS and West Virginia fingerprinting prior to start.

Details

• Work in a Behavioral Health unit caring for adult patients
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00pm to 7:30am, including weekdays and every other weekend
• Adolescent patient ratio is 1:8 and adult/forensic ratios vary from 1:15-20 depending on unit
• Staffing support is for shifts not covered by regular staff and blocked scheduling requests are not allowed
• Uses Avatar EMR system; EMR experience is not required
• Scrubs provided in navy or royal blue

Requirements

• Active RN license in WV or Compact state; pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience is required
• Current BCLS certification is required; AHA certification required
• CPI and First Aid certifications required (can be obtained during orientation)
• Fingerprinting in West Virginia must be completed 7-10 business days prior to start
• COVID and Flu vaccination records and CPR card required at orientation
• Case-by-case consideration for previous probationary actions on license
• Perm employees may not return as travelers and travelers may only work contracts for up to 1 year

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health setting
• First time travelers are accepted and training for CPI/First Aid is provided during orientation
• Orientation is held on Mondays and requires completion of onboarding modules prior to attendance
• Holiday time off requests are limited to one of the three major holidays
• Strict attendance policy requiring medical clearance after 3+ consecutive days absent due to illness or injury
• DHHR Authorization and Release Form must be hand signed and submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
• Locals are accepted for this assignment
