American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications and recent Epic experience.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Day shift schedule of four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 to 19:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within hospital or between like units and sister campuses
• Uses Epic EMR, with experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact) required and must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass an advanced EKG exam as part of compliance process
• Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must not have background or license hits within the past year

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Must be able to wear royal blue and white scrubs
• Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible
• Maximum of two contracts with the facility system, with one possible extension (must be gone six months before returning after two contracts)
• Up to four days of requested time off may be approved, with a maximum of one holiday off
• Pre-start onboarding modules are required and must be completed prior to assignment
• Position requires flexibility to float to other units, if needed
