American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with at least 18 months of permanent CVOR experience and the ability to scrub.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Care for open heart and vascular surgery patients
• Performs both circulating and scrubbing duties
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours from 7:00 to 17:30
• Must be willing to work every other holiday
• Floating within clinical competencies may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license required; permanent Ohio or compact license accepted
• Minimum of 18 months permanent CVOR experience required prior to travel
• Must have recent open heart and vascular surgery experience
• Must be able to perform as a scrub nurse
• One recent supervisory reference in the CVOR specialty required for consideration
• All certifications must be current and active
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with passing scores required
• Background checks with no open cases or license hits

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct perioperative care of cardiovascular surgical patients, including scrubbing and circulating duties
• Candidates must complete pre-start and annual online education modules
• Must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting at the facility prior to start
• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements
• PAPRs are not allowed as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair unless an exemption is granted
• Permanent and per diem employees cannot return within one year of previous assignment end date
• Holiday coverage is required as assigned
• Local candidates are accepted
