Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with at least 4 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of an acute care hospital
• Shift schedule is 5x8-hour days, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• Weekend shifts are required approximately every 5th weekend, subject to staffing needs
• On-call required once per week plus one late shift
• Floating to similar units or sister facilities may be required
• Epic is used for charting and Epic experience is required
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license (in hand or proof of application required)
• Minimum 4 years of PACU experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Previous permanent staff must be separated from the specified health system for at least 1 year
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; approval is based on facility needs

• Responsible for providing post-anesthesia care to surgical patients
• May be required to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis and may be compensated at a lower rate
• Modules and training must be completed prior to start as part of the onboarding process
