American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a weekday outpatient Pediatrics Clinic role with a focus on either GI or Nephrology and strong acute care pediatrics experience.

Details

• Outpatient Pediatrics Clinic with 13 specialties and 55 exam rooms
• Position assigned to either Pediatric GI or Pediatric Nephrology specialty area
• Pediatric GI: 2 suites with a total of 14 exam rooms, 20 providers, up to 40 patients/day; common diagnoses include IBD, G-tube care, motility disorders, pre/post liver transplant
• Pediatric Nephrology: 15 exam rooms, 8 providers, up to 25 patients/day; patient types include pre/post kidney transplant, CKD, adrenal diseases
• Majority of patients range from newborns to age 18, with some up to college age
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No weekend, holiday, on-call, or floating requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Free parking is available for staff

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Pediatrics experience required; ambulatory clinic experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR highly preferred
• Skills required include port access, CVL draws, rooming and departure education, general assessment, and point-of-care testing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Professional reference from supervisory role required within the past year

Additional Information

• Role includes assisting with POC testing, patient education, and follow-up care for pediatric GI or nephrology conditions
• RN may assist with administering vaccines and injectable medications, including biologics if trained
• Support team includes peer RNs, MAs, clinical leadership, a lab onsite, radiology, dietician, and social worker
• Onsite orientation is tailored to skillset and may last up to two weeks following offsite NEO and EPIC training
• Scrub color is navy blue
• Clinic is closed on major holidays
