American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position with call requirements, float between surgical centers, and preference for travel experience.

Details

• Work in the PACU setting of a hospital environment
• Shifts are days, with varied start times (0800, 0900, or 1000), with shift end as late as 21:30
• Facility may consider 3x12 hour shifts
• Call coverage is required
• Floating required between surgical centers and areas
• Care for a limited pediatric population (2-3 peds tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cases per week)
• Altera EMR used; experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 2 years’ PACU experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and any required specialty certifications must be provided
• Two supervisory references from the last 3 years of employment required
• Travel experience preferred
• Must reside more than 150 miles from the facility to qualify

Additional Information

• Previous perm staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Required to complete orientation modules (average 6-8 hours) during orientation
• Clinicians must complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a plan in place
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on schedule and call
• First-time travelers may be considered
