American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring high-risk experience, Epic proficiency, and NRP certification.

Details

• Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• The hospital is a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center
• Shifts are 12 hours, with three 12-hour shifts per week, and requires every other weekend coverage
• 16 hours of on-call per 6-week schedule block is required
• Floating within scope to other units as needed
• Epic charting system is used and experience is required
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active RN license, with pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date
• At least 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior trauma center experience at a large facility is required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations allowed; COVID-19 vaccination required with only medical or religious exemptions accepted
• One professional reference is required
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 2 years to be considered

Additional Information

• Responsible for comprehensive nursing care of laboring patients in a high-acuity setting
• Team structure includes experienced L&D clinicians and support staff
• Modules must be completed prior to start and annually, totaling approximately 2 hours for RN specialty
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) can be auto approved; longer periods require additional approval
• Parking is available for a monthly fee
