American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry night shift position, requiring an active MA RN license and strong cardiac telemetry skills.

Details

• Work in a 41-bed medical telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care
• Night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
• Clinician to patient ratios: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6
• Travelers may be required to float to applicable units as needed
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of consideration; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of relevant telemetry experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac drips
• Experience with high-flow oxygen and TR Bands required
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are required with no exemptions allowed

• Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac telemetry patients and managing advanced cardiac and respiratory interventions
• Proof of MA licensure must be presented prior to consideration
• Documented time off must be noted at the time of application

• Local candidates are accepted but those residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital are subject to a reduced rate
