American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least 2 years of LDRP experience for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position requiring advanced certifications and floating within region.

Details

• Work in a 29-bed LDRP and postpartum unit with 1 OR suite
• Annual volume of approximately 1,500 patients
• High-risk patient cases including PPH, insulin-dependent diabetics, PROM, placenta previa, and postpartum GYN surgeries
• RN patient ratios are acuity based
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda Warmers
• Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a in 6-week schedule cycles
• Floating required within assigned region to units such as Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division facilities, within the RN scope of practice

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or State), in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM
• Skills including circulating C-sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hr testing, NAS scoring), and lactation support
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
• Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive LDRP nursing care including care for high-risk patients and postpartum GYN surgeries
• Unit support includes OB Tech, CNA/ST, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, case manager, RT, lactation consultants, and 24/7 OB physician or pediatrician coverage
• No remote telemetry monitoring
• Scrub color is navy blue or business casual to/from work, with hospital-issued scrubs required on duty
• Free parking available
• Up to 6 days RTO (excluding holidays), subject to approval; must extend contract if unable to meet required hours
• Not open to returning former permanent employees
