American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital
• Handles adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am); rotation based on operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Use of ECG rhythm monitoring and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Requirements

• Active unrestricted RN license in Ohio or a compact state is required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required prior to travel assignments
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required and must be current
• At least two supervisory references from the specialty are required, with one from the past 12 months and one from the most recent travel assignment
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores

Additional Information

• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to start date
• Facility does not accept any license hits or open legal cases
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the facility within 1 year of previous end date
• Modules must be completed pre-start and annually depending on contract length
• PAPRs not considered an alternative for caregivers with facial hair unless a medical or religious exemption is obtained
• First-time travelers will be considered
