American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit night position requiring active MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit within a Level III Trauma Center
• 20-bed ICU with floating required to Medical/Surgical units
• Care for a broad adult patient population including substance abuse, overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• RN-to-patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 in the ICU; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
• Night shift position (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Floating may include managing up to 4 or 5 patients on Med/Surg units

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Massachusetts RN license (MA Conditional licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, must be AHA approved
• Minimum 3 years of general ICU experience and 2 years of continuous MICU experience in one location required
• Telemetry competency required; must be able to read tele strips
• Proof of MA licensure must be provided at the time of consideration
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions permitted
• Experience with EPIC charting strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill adults in both ICU and medical/surgical telemetry settings
• Collaboration with attending physicians and resident support available 24/7 in ICU
• Must be able to float between ICU and Med/Surg environments as needed
• All requested time off (RTO) must be noted at the time of application
• Parking is not validated and may require use of public transport or paid public lots
• No consideration for candidates with pending RN licenses
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Boston; rate reduction applies if within this radius
• No religious or medical vaccine exemptions allowed
