American Traveler is hiring an LPN with prior cardiology and Epic experience for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring a VA or compact license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in an outpatient ambulatory cardiology clinic
• Patient population includes those newly diagnosed with cardiac disease, post-cardiac procedures, and on cardiac maintenance therapy under the care of a cardiologist
• Nurse to patient ratio can be up to 1:22
• Uses Epic for EMR documentation with prior outpatient Epic experience required
• Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Requirements

• Active VA or compact LPN license required for consideration
• Prior experience in cardiology is required
• Basic cardiology skills required
• Outpatient Epic experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Candidates considered local within 100 miles based on driver's license address are not accepted for this assignment

Additional Information

• Duties include rooming patients, calling in prescriptions, following up with patients, and completing patient forms
• Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays for winter assignments
• Previous employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• After 365 days on assignment, travelers are not eligible to return regardless of separation period, with leadership review possible
• Orientation modules may be completed pre-start or during orientation
• Time off requests must be submitted up front for consideration
• Must provide two references for consideration
