Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current Florida or compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for night shifts.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend shifts required; 6 weekend shifts per 6 week scheduling cycle
• Floating may be required as needed within scope
• Uses Epic documentation system

Requirements

• Active RN license for Florida or multistate compact required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; CPI preferred
• 2 professional references from a Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director within the last year required
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care, responding to trauma, and supporting critical care needs
• Must adhere to department-specific scrub policy: solid color tops and bottoms with no logos or prints, either personally provided or hospital supplied
• All requested time off must be declared prior to offer; no additions post-offer
• Free parking available with hospital-issued decal
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Employees or contracted travelers must wait 1 year after ending a previous assignment to be eligible
• Holiday coverage and hurricane response may be required according to unit needs
• Kronos system is used for timekeeping via badge swipe
