Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced PCU/Stepdown RN for a 3 South MedSurgical unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in a MedSurgical Progressive Care/Stepdown unit (3 South) within a hospital setting
• Patient care ratios of 1:4 to 1:5, may fluctuate based on census
• Schedule is 07:00 to 19:30 with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next on a rotating basis
• Orientation provided on a bi-weekly basis

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license required
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from AHA
• Previous PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Must provide two professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care to patients in a stepdown environment with fluctuating patient ratios
• Travel pairs are not allowed unless there are multiple openings and extenuating circumstances
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• All positions are auto-offer except for restricted units such as Cath Lab, OR, and Psych
