Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 23-bed ER with a rotating 36/48 hour schedule and advanced certifications.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital emergency department
• 23-bed Emergency Room serving a large hospital setting
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Rotating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next (bi-weekly orientation)
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Reliable personal transportation is required due to limited ride-sharing in the area

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent large hospital ER experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, CPI (AHA only for BLS and ACLS)
• NIHSS certification required for all RN specialties except OR
• Must provide license verification and references
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Previous travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must be able to function independently in a busy ER environment
• Teamwork is essential within a high-acuity emergency unit
• Orientation is provided bi-weekly unless otherwise noted
• Travel pairs are not allowed unless there is an extenuating circumstance
• Assignment confirmation must be completed within 24 hours of accepting the offer
