American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department position requiring a GA or compact license and strong certifications, including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.

Details

• Work in a large, busy Emergency Department serving adolescents to geriatric patients
• Patient ratio is typically 1:4 in a 59-bed ER with 165-175 patients per day
• Department is Stroke and STEMI Certified but not designated trauma
• Uses Epic for charting and Pyxis for medication management, both required
• Position is for evening shifts (3x12 hrs, 13:00-01:00)
• Must work every other weekend
• Floating is rare but may occur

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Experience with high-acuity emergency care required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must have been separated from any Piedmont facility for at least 1 year if previously employed
• Two supervisory references are highly preferred

Additional Information

• Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment according to policy
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Scrub color is navy blue
• Modules are completed during orientation and documented via transcripts
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary for an on-time start
