American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health position on an Adult Psychiatry Nursing Unit, with 1 year of psych nursing experience and BLS required.

Details

• Work in an adult psychiatric nursing unit within a healthcare facility
• Provide care to adult behavioral health patients
• Night shift position with hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• May be required to float within skill set onsite or to other sites within 40 miles
• Uses Epic EMR and experience is required
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled

Requirements

• Active RN license with Nursys verification required prior to start
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health or psychiatric RN experience
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver’s license and license verification required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to adult psychiatric patients, monitoring for safety, and crisis management as needed
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) certification is available but not required
• All positions are offered automatically, and extensions should be discussed with management 45 days before the contract end date
• Local candidates are accepted but must adhere to facility-specific radius rules, which may affect pay rates
• COVID-19 vaccination is no longer a requirement as of July 1, 2023
• Candidates may be required to float to different units or facilities within 40 miles, based on staffing needs
