Details
- Work in a home health setting within a post-acute care division
- Patient population is primarily elderly with chronic disease and post-operative care, with a small pediatric component
- Typical caseload includes 6-7 skilled nursing visits per day, generally no start of care or recertifications
- Uses Cerner Soarian EMR system
- Day shifts with 8-hour shift lengths
- Weekend coverage required two weekends per month
- No call or standby required
- No floating to hospice required
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Unit-specific orientation provided
Requirements
- Valid nursing license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of LPN experience required
- Experience working with home health or post-acute patient populations preferred
- Ability to use Cerner Soarian EMR system
Additional Information
- Daily responsibilities include providing skilled nursing care for elderly and pediatric clients in a home setting
- 24/7 manager availability for support
- No holiday coverage required
- No local travelers are accepted for this assignment
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Returning perm employees must have a 2-year break if previously employed at any WVU Medicine location
- Travelers are not permitted to work within WVU facilities for longer than 1 year without a 2-year break
- Interview process includes direct manager interview
- Unit/department orientation is provided
