Job Details
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with a bed count between 11 and 20
- High-risk, high-volume, and high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting with approximately 250 births per month
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
- Night shift (12-hour shifts) with every third weekend required
- Floating to Postpartum unit may be required
- Utilizes Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
- Special procedures include circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, NST, Pitocin and Cytotec inductions, epidurals, amnio infusions, and versions
- No on-call requirement
Job Requirements
- Active IA or Compact RN license in hand
- At least one year of recent experience in a facility with at least 250 births per month
- Fetal Heart Monitoring—Intermediate (Advanced not required)
- Ability to circulate for C-sections is required
- Epic charting experience required
- Driver’s license required; address on compact RN license must match driver's license
- Ability to manage high-acuity and high-risk obstetric patients
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, C-sections, and providing care for high-risk situations
- Areas of float support include Postpartum unit
- Scrub color is light blue
- Virtual interview with auto-offer process
- Must not have been employed at this facility within the past 12 months
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule
- A 60-mile radius rule applies; locals are accepted with a pay rate adjustment
