Job Details
- Position is in a neuroscience intermediate/progressive care unit (PCU) setting
- Assignment covers various hospital units including neuroscience, med-surg, and cardiac care
- Night shift position with hours from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am
- 13-week travel contract assignment
- Floating may occur between multiple units as specified
- Patient population includes neurological and intermediate care cases
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required, standard or compact; must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
- Current AHA ACLS certification required
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required; must be valid and in-hand prior to start
- CPI certification required; may be completed onsite if not current
- All candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and seasonal influenza
- Applicants must have a US Social Security Number (no Canadian SSNs accepted)
- No 'hits' or negative actions on RN license accepted
Additional Information
- Duties include caring for neuro and intermediate level patients, providing specialized monitoring and assessment
- Documentation may utilize different EMR systems specific to the hospital units
- Explanation is required for any gaps in employment history of 3 months or more
- Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius from the hospital; no local travelers are accepted
- First time travelers are eligible for consideration
- All referenced certifications must not be set to expire during the assignment start month
