Job Details
- Hospital-based position in the Operating Room as RNFA
- Surgical cases include Bariatrics, Endo/Lap, General, GYN, Robotics, Thoracic, and Urology specialties
- Equipment used includes Colorectal Robotic, Da Vinci SP, Da Vinci XI, GI Robotics, GYN Robotics, and VATS
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 11:00 to 19:30
- Weekend shifts are on-call only
- Floating within the RN skillset is required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Scrub attire is provided
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in NJ or Compact state required at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum three years of operating room nursing experience
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries highly preferred
- Must complete Epic EMR training prior to start
- Background and license must be clear of open or active issues
- References required for consideration
- Former RWJBH staff must have a one-year gap before eligibility
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include first assisting surgeons in a range of complex procedures using advanced robotic systems
- Holiday shifts scheduled based on unit needs
- All education and orientation modules must be completed before start and annually
- Team support includes orientation and compliance guidance
- First-time travelers will be considered, though prior travel experience is highly preferred
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Return-to-work policy applies for previous system employees
- Candidates must adhere to agreed schedule as changes after assignment starts are not accommodated
