Helicoptering to a Glacier

Working RN in Alaska Is the Poster Child for Travel Nursing

Lori S., Emergency Room RN is an top-notch American Traveler. She started traveling in 2012 and has worked in Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland and California.
Lori S., Emergency Room RN is an American Traveler of the first rank. She started traveling in August 2012, and in that time has been a working nurse in Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland and California. She has enjoyed a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Lori's photo album was like something out of TravelAlaska.com. She did it all, from helicoptering to a glacier for some quality dog sledding, to making Santa's nice list and feeding the reindeer. She was also blown away by the beauty of the Northern Lights.
Lori's healthcare recruiter, Kristin Z. says of this passionate Traveler:
"Lori embraces all the places she goes, taking full advantage of ALL an area has to offer. She doesn't just love the adventure of travel nursing. She lives it and renewed her assignment in Anchorage."
Lori looks at Kristin as the catalyst in her adventures, saying:
"No way I'd have seen all of these places without my recruiter. What a year she's made possible! I’ve met so many new friends and I’m regularly getting together with new travel nurses for all kinds of adventures! It’s been a whirlwind and I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring."
According to the tourist brochures, Lori can expect an amazing summer. Anchorage is looking forward to a number of cool events, from the June 21 Summer Solstice, (the city expects to get 22 hours of daylight) to Juneteenth on the Delaney Park Strip. Juneteenth is a multicultural citywide celebration that recognizes the anniversary of the end of slavery in the United States. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. For healthcare professionals who love to run, the Mayor’s Midnight Sun Marathon and Half Marathon are also important dates for the calendar.
Because the weather in Alaska is so hospitable now and in the months to come, Lori's friends can expect pictures of her adventures on Flattop Mountain, and in Chugach State Park. Just one request from us at American Traveler; Lori please take plenty of pictures of the Anchorage skyline when you get up there -- we expect nothing less of our poster child. Happy trails to you!
