Healthcare Travelers of the Year

American Traveler's winners crisscross the country, leaving a stellar impression!

Each year Healthcare Traveler Magazine selects their Travelers of the Year, and American Traveler's 2008 winners are truly outstanding performers.

One of this year's winners, Stephanie Clark, is a traveling ER Registered Nurse who has been with American Traveler since April 2004, on dozens of assignments. She has crisscrossed the country — working in Arizona, West Virginia, California, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts and North Carolina.

On every assignment, Stephanie receives rave reviews on her clinical evaluations, and Stephanie's nurse managers routinely ask her to renew assignments. It's easy to see why. She is professional, hardworking, and provides great healthcare to all her patients.

Stephanie is very close to her family and treated them to a Disney cruise this year. Stephanie's Travel Nursing Consultant, Amy Roll, notes that travel nursing jobs provide the scheduling flexibility and the pay levels that can help make such special times possible. We are proud to have Stephanie working with our team.

Stephanie was nominated by her Travel Nursing Consultant, Amy Roll.

Our next winner this year, Sheila Mitchell, is an Occupational Therapist who has been with American Traveler for over two years.

Sheila's Travel Nursing Consultant, Jennie Rayner, says "Sheila is a fantastic traveler! She is well-liked and respected on her assignments and always gets great evaluations. And Sheila is also a master at providing any and all documentation requested — Sheila is the BEST!"

Occupational Therapy jobs are in high demand across the nation, which means that OT's like Sheila often have their pick of high-paying travel therapy jobs in some of the most desirable locations. And when they receive top reviews from their managers, like Sheila does, the options are even more attractive. Congratulations, Sheila, and thanks for working with us!

Feeding America is a network of individuals, local food banks, national offices, as well as corporate and government partners. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food assistance to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, including more than 9 million children and nearly 3 million seniors. This network of more than 200 food banks serves all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The Feeding America network secures and distributes more than 2 billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually.

Feeding America supports approximately 63,000 local charitable agencies that distribute food directly to Americans in need. Those agencies operate more than 70,000 programs including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs, Kids Cafes, Community Kitchens and BackPack Programs.
