Travel Nurse Salaries and Bonuses

Travel nurses enjoy exceptional salaries and cash bonuses on every assignment. With thousands of positions available, we are able to selectively offer those assignments that meet your salary requirements as well as geographical requests. Typically, the hourly salary range is $22- $43 per hour. At many locations, Bonuses are also offered. These vary from $500 - $12,000 and are paid at the end of the nursing assignment. Don't forget that many of our hospitals pay Double Overtime as well!

Our travel nurses take assignments for many reasons; some of the most frequently requested assignments are those that offer compensation packages significantly higher than those available on permanent or per diem positions. Double Overtime

For travel nurses working over their normal 36 or 40-hour work week, overtime is calculated at the standard rate of time and a half. On many nursing assignments, American Traveler pays DOUBLE OVERTIME. This means if the salary is $26 per hour, the overtime rate is $52 per hour! Your Consultant will detail this benefit when presenting the "Ultimate Travel Assignment!"

Travel Nursing Bonuses

Bonuses are offered at many travel nursing assignments as an additional income over and above the stated hourly salary. Bonuses range from $500 - $12,000 at selected locations! These bonuses are paid at the successful completion of the nursing assignment. For travel nurses motivated to increase their annual incomes, this is considered an enormous benefit!

In addition to Health Insurance, this free coverage also includes Dental and Life Insurance. It is flexible to meet your needs, and you can add dependents.

If you would prefer to continue under your existing health insurance plan, we will assist in subsidizing the expense of the health insurance you already have in place. Licensure Reimbursement

American Traveler provides full reimbursement of your State Nursing Licensure for every travel assignment! For additional support, our Client Services Representatives will offer their expert assistance and service in helping you obtain your State Nursing License. For proper planning, Travelers can expect licenses to take as little as one day in a "Walk Through" State or it may take several weeks or longer to obtain licensure by some of the State Boards of Nursing.
