American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position in St. Louis, MO, requiring 3+ years of OR experience and heart or vascular case experience on a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Located in a hospital Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting in St. Louis, MO
• Surgical patient population including cardiovascular and vascular cases
• Shift is 4x10 hours, 6:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday
• One weekend per month is required
• Weekend and overnight rotating call required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Standard floating within scope of practice
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
• Heart and/or vascular case experience required
• Ability to both circulate and scrub in the OR
• Minimum 1 year of recent specialty experience required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1–April 1 (exemptions subject to client approval)

• Performs direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups
• Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes
• Must be able to navigate multiple computer systems and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to local candidate billing terms
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
