American Traveler is seeking an experienced PTA for a Long Term Care position in Potosi, MO, requiring at least 1 year of PTA experience in a LTC or SNF setting.

Details

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift start time is flexible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as long as the schedule is consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
• 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No on-call requirements
• No weekend requirements unless a holiday falls on a weekday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend

Requirements

• Active PTA license in Missouri (compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• Experience in a LTC or SNF setting required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Administers rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising PT to adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Documents all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately records treatment minutes
• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
