CPR Proves an Important Lifesaver

A five year old girl is recovering after a near drowning Sunday at an apartment complex near Sunrise and Kolb. According to 9-1-1 calls, the little girl was under water for about two minutes. By the time Rural Metro crews arrived, a register nurse, Susan Williams had pulled her out and administered CPR. Paramedics at the scene said that Susan's quick response and CPR training saved the girl's life.
Rural Metro said that this is a good reminder to always supervise children around the pool. Along with supervision, some parents are going a step further, learning the tools necessary to save a life in the event of an emergency.
