Job Description:
The Critical Care Registered Nurse RN ensures that critically ill patients receive the best care for their injuries and diseases. As a Critical Care travel nurse, you specialize in treating patients of all ages, in post-op units, the ER, burn units and transitional care units. Most critical care RN travel nurses work in hospitals; however, they can choose many different sub- specialties such as CVICU, SICU, MICU, ER. There are also travel nursing positions available for critical care RNs at skilled nursing or rehab facilities as well as some home health positions. An important function of this Critical Care nursing job is to provide education and support to patients and their families.
