Job Description:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will demonstrate an ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. He or she must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as knowledge of the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory requirements. The successful completion of a management course at least six months prior to appointment is recommended. The ideal candidate in this R.N. Supervisor position shows leadership capabilities, since he or she will assume administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions during a shift. The travel nursing RN Supervisor should have a minimum of two years previous supervisory experience, preferred in acute care settings and preferably critical care experience; and a Master’s degree is preferred in an increasing growing list of facilities.
