Job Description:

The Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse has a minimum of 2 years pediatric critical care and surgical experience. The Pediatric PACU R.N. provides nursing care to patients in post op and assists patients recovering from anesthesia. Assessing the patient’s health status and previous medical history is an important part of this job. Pediatric PACU travel nurses make sure charts and checklists are complete and should have an excellent bedside manner reassuring children and their families. Continuing education in post-anesthesia care and surgical nursing is highly recommended.
