Job Description:

The Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse works in a hospital with technologically advanced pediatric intensive care units (PICU), and knows his or her way around both surgical and ICU units. This Pediatric ICU R.N. specialty provides comprehensive services for children with single or multi-organ system failure, chronic illness, those recovering from orthopedic, cardiac, neurologic and general surgeries, as well as patients undergoing organ transplants. The Pediatric ICU travel nurse prioritizes careful monitoring of patients, and reports regularly to the pediatrician, and family on the patient's condition, and what they can expect in recovery.
