Job Description:

The Home Health Registered Nurse assists patients who are healthy enough to live at home, yet still require assistance performing daily tasks. The R.N. in this important travel nurse home health job will help the patient administer medications, groom, bathe and move from room to room; however, individual cases may vary greatly. One of the most important functions of the home health nursing job is to keep careful records of the patient’s vital signs, bladder and bowel function, and progress and/or comments in exercise regimes prescribed by allied health therapists. Home health travel nursing services may be short term following patient operations, and require attention to detail, especially in the event of abuse that the R.N. should report it to appropriate state or law enforcement agency as well the patient's doctor immediately. The Home Health Travel Nurse provides wound care, bandage changes, alcohol rubs, simple massage and maintenance of prosthetic limbs
