Job Description:

The Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse is clinically trained to treat research and manage treatment plans for children and adolescents with cancer. The Pediatric Oncology RN candidate should be comfortable administering chemotherapy and providing moral support for both patients and families in this process; this entails informing the patient of all treatment details, procedures and side effects, with good humor, bedside manner and above all, as well as compassion. The Pediatric Oncology travel nurse will work under supervision of a Pediatric Oncologist, and hold basic and advanced certifications as specified by the healthcare facility. The Peds Oncology R.N. helps to educate children on healthy lifestyle choices in both cancer treatment and remission. A positive attitude is an enormous asset in this job.
