Job Description:

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse will be a critical care nurse who has previous experience in IR procedures, Cardiac Cath lab and/or Critical Care Units. He or she will know and have experience in cardiac monitoring, administration of various special procedure medications, dyes or fluids, as well as continuous assessment of patients condition and tolerance to the procedure. They will also need to do patient and family education on the procedure and post discharge instructions. The travel nursing Interventional Radiology R.N. specialty includes working in the hospital radiology department, possibly in MR, CT, or Ultrasound to assist in multiple diagnostic and/or treatment procedure. The ideal travel nursing candidate is an experienced critical care nurse with previous experience in IR or Cardiac Cath lab and has excellent assessment, education and communication skills.
