Job Description:
Pediatrics Registered Nurses assess a patient's needs, document the patient's symptoms and medical history and provide bedside nursing care to children on the floor. They draw blood, administer medication and give childhood vaccinations. Pediatric travel nurses also assist a pediatrician during a patient examination. Travel nursing jobs in Pediatrics are available in hospitals and outpatient care centers. Additional duties result from further RN specialization, such as pediatric oncology, dermatology or cardiology. Becoming a pediatric RN requires clinical work specializing in pediatric care; work hours vary depending on the healthcare facility.
