Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist provides quality occupational therapy to clients; this requires evaluating and assessing patients to establish functional, measurable goals that promote restoration of functional abilities. The Occupational Therapist will provide treatment according to a written plan of care that meets established goals set by the healthcare employer; in a hospital, out-patient clinic or home health setting. The ideal candidate will excel at planning and communicating with patients, their families, and the rehab team. Reports shall be produced as needed; the OT may also be in charge of clinical students and support staff, including certified/licensed assistants, technicians, and volunteers. A strict adherence to the AOTA Code of Ethics and ability to establish a great rapport with patients is highly desired.
